A Mid-Summer's Evening Daydream :)

Hello, again! You know, I always start things like blogging or keeping a journal with the hope that it will help me to become more organized and allow me to remember the little details of daily life. Although, then I end up not writing for months at a time, and am not much closer to that goal. But, I suppose it is like Thomas Edison once said: "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." So, here is attempt number who know's which. :)

When last I wrote, it was the middle of September. Now it is the beginning of June, and so much has happened! First of all, during the last week of November, Tyler and I learned some news that would change our entire lives:
We were expecting! :)
Now I am about 30 weeks along, and we could not be more anxious or excited for our sweet little boy to arrive. :) Throughout my pregnancy, I have come to love and appreciate life even more. Each time I feel our son kick and move, I smile and am reminded of how precious life really is. What a blessing it is to be able to bring one of God's children into this world!

In other news, this last semester at Utah State University was a tough one for the two of us. While I finished up my Junior year, Tyler took the semester off and spent the majority of his time working two jobs to help me through school and provide for our growing family. Then, when the semester ended, we packed up everything in our small, two room apartment, and moved down to Cedar City so that we can be nearer to family when our baby arrives. Tyler and I will both be finishing up our schooling here at Southern Utah University during the next few years.

On the 24th of May, we celebrated our 1-year anniversary. :) While this past year has held some challenging times, it has been full of even more wonderful ones. It has been a year of learning, discovery, understanding, and more happiness than I could have ever imagined or hoped for. Tyler is honestly the sweetest, most amazing boy that I have ever known. He is patient and kind...my better 3/4s. ;) I cannot even begin to describe how thankful and honored I feel to be able to be sealed to him for time and all eternity. He is the most wonderful husband, and I know that he will be an incredible father. :) We are looking forward to the many adventures to come! :)

Meet the Maxwell's

Hello, there! :) For any of you who may not know us, we are Tyler and Katherine Maxwell. To put names with faces for a moment...:

Tyler...

...Katie...

...Tyler and Katie...

Okay, I'm pretty sure you get the picture. :) Tyler and I were married on May 24th of this year, and have enjoyed beginning our wonderful, eternal adventure together. We both grew up in the small city of Enoch, Utah. Yes, for those of you who may be wondering, we did indeed miss the translation, but have since moved to another small town located just between Paradise and Providence...

Logan, Utah. ;)

Here in Logan, we attend Utah State University as full-time students, hold jobs for the University, and live in a small (but nice) two-room apartment just below Old Main Hill. As a Chemistry Major, Tyler keeps himself busy doing lots of chemistry homework...as well as math homework, English homework, and just--well--homework in general. He also enjoys cooking, camping, reading, learning about advances in technology, wood-working, playing Clash of Clans, and admiring fancy new cars.

Especially ones like the 2014 Corvettes. :)

Since Tyler isn't the one posting this, I have the opportunity to tell you a little more about him. Tyler is honestly one of the most sweet, kind, loving and accepting people I have ever, ever, ever met. (By the way, I do mean ever.) :) He is thoughtful and friendly, and he makes everyone around him feel important and cared for. One of the things that I love most about him is his beautiful, warm smile, which he shares freely with those he passes or meets. He is optimistic and positive, and he strives to see the best in everything and everyone. He has a strong, bright spirit, and is trustworthy and reliable. By the way, did I mention that he is extremely handsome? Well, he is. :) Honestly, Tyler has blessed my life immensely, and in so many more ways than I can list. I feel extremely honored to have him as my husband and eternal sweetheart! :)

I am currently studying music with an emphasis in Violin Performance, and am a Junior this year. In my free time (though sometimes it seems scarce,) I enjoy reading, going for walks, coloring, baking, looking at fancy cars with my husband, taking pictures, doing hair, and (this one is for you, Tyler dear) occasionally playing Clash of Clans. :) I am striving to fulfill many requirements for my major, while still balancing work and being a wife. Sometimes, I make mistakes, I forget things, and I fall short of my goals. But I am trying to give, do, and be the best that I can, as well as accept myself the way that I am. Thanks to my husband, my family, my friends, my teachers and so many others, this is becoming a little easier for me each and every day. :)

I read this quote shortly after we were married, and it has stuck with me ever since.
"Love is meant to be an adventure." - President Gordon B. Hinckley :)
I just love that. :) "Love is meant to be an adventure." Well, boy. Is it ever! :)
